![]() so we can plan things out a bit - to avoid this from happening. which is why most of the main story quests have no timer on them. ![]() i think it'll happen like this because in the end we're the ones who mostly control when each story point plays out. and at that stage of the story it makes absolute sense for a holiday or festival to get canceled. ![]() I had that happen too - at the same point in the main story for that matter. Is the festival worth it btw? Should I lose several hours of progress so I can go back and do things differently? And the festival itself wasn't even for 2 more days! I had already given Trudy my gift submission!! This is so so frustrating that I'm not going to be able to participate in the festival for the first time, and just mind-blowing that devs would have this kind of priority system, instead of delaying the triggering of a main story quest so it doesn't overwrite annual festivals. ![]() I had completed the prereq quest on Spring 15, mined all day Spring 16, and now I have no way to revert to a recent save as all of my quick and auto saves are immediately pre and post quest, and my last manual save was 5 days ago. The events were major main plot points involving traitors and water supply. My Day of Bright Sun was cancelled 2 days beforehand, in my first year, due to a series of events going off first thing when I woke up the morning of Spring 17. ![]()
